Dalston CLR James Library

Dalston Square and Dalston C.L.R. James Library

Our stunning light-box installation in Dalston Square runs from 24/10/14- 16/12/14, 24 hours a day.

It features selected Diary Drawings alongside images produced in drawing workshops run by Daily Life Ltd in East London this summer. Participants included psychiatrists, psychologists, support workers, doctors, nurses and a wealth of individuals with personal experience of mental distress. Who’s the expert? Who’s to say?

The Old Town Hall, Stratford

Old Town Hall, Stratford – what a fantastic venue, host to our Diary Drawings exhibition as well as Mad Gyms & Kitchens live shows. We like it there so much that we returned for our finale performance on July 24th. Thanks to everyone who came along and made it such a great event!

Discover, Children’s Story Centre

Discover Children’s Story Centre is a fantastic interactive storytelling venue – and our new next door neighbour in Stratford! Working with the Discover team to make our performance of Mad Gyms & Kitchens accessible for both adults and children was really great; we loved performing to such a different audience. Watch this space for more Discover + Daily Life Ltd collaborations…

Bromley By Bow Centre

In June we staged an ESOL interpretation supported performance of Mad Gyms & Kitchens. Thank you to Lucy and all the ESOL volunteers at the Centre who worked with us to develop such an exciting new way of presenting our work.

Rich Mix

We met some fantastic people at our two shows at Rich Mix – thanks to all who came long!

Rose Lipman Building

The Rose Lipman Building in De Beauvoir is now run by the MillCo Project as a community arts space. Daily Life Ltd performed Mad Gyms & Kitchens here at the end of May. We love their wonderful hall (and kitchen!)

Chats Palace

Chats Palace is a wonderful community arts venue in Homerton. We presented the exhibition here from February to April, and met some brilliant people at the Private View on 5th March. We staged Mad Gyms & Kitchens here on 14th March. Looking forward to coming back again!

Core Arts

Core Arts is a fantastic arts and mental health charity promoting creative excellence and training for its clients. We presented the Roxy and Rudi Roadshow at Club Core in November – it was a lot of fun, and we were blown away by some amazing performances. We came back and staged two shows of Mad Gyms & Kitchens here in February.

Queen Mary University, London

We presented Mad Gyms & Kitchens twice in the Pinter Studio. Bobby has strong links with QMUL, and we love working with undergraduates and recent graduates from the School of Drama.

St Clements

St Clements, a former psychiatric hospital, has recently become home to the fabulous Shuffle Festival. We staged two shows of Mad Gyms & Kitchens here in December at Winter Shuffle, and had a great time with the hugely talented Friends of East End Loonies.
